La Bréole ligt in het zuiden van Frankrijk tussen Gap en Barcelonnette aan het Lac de Serre Ponçon, het grootste stuwmeer van Frankrijk, met tal van watersport- en wandelmogelijkheid. In het dorp een verwarmd zwembad met ligweide. Daguitstappen naar Nice, Marseille, Cuneo, Milaan, Monaco, Cannes, Gorges du Verdon, Gap, Embrun, Digne-les-Bains, Barcelonnette zijn mogelijk.

Gelegen tegen de flanken van de Zuid-Alpen is La Bréole ook ideaal voor een rustige ski-vakantie.In en rond La Bréole is weinig sneeuw en zijn de wegen goed berijdbaar zodat ski-stations als Praloup, Les Orres, (beide sneeuwzeker van begin december tot eind april) Val d’Allos, Saint Jean Montclar, Chabannon Selonnet, Vars, St Anne, en tal van pistes rond Gap en Briançon goed bereikbaar zijn en dit op minder dan één uur rijden.
